The Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport decided the plan of central Shinkansen based on regulations of Article 7 clause 1 of the nationwide Shinkansen railway maintenance method on May 26, and directed JR Tokai construction on the 27th.
JR Tokai commented, "We make an effort aiming at the achievement at the early stage".
The name of the construction line is "Center Shinkansen".
The construction section is between Tokyo and Osaka City.
The running method is a superconducting maglev type (Maghreb type linear motor car), and the highest design speed is 505km per hour.
The estimated amount of the cost of construction including the vehicle manufacturing cost was described as 9.03 trillion yen.
JR Tokai announced the comment entitled "The instruction of the construction of central Shinkansen was received" on the 27th.
