The earthquake that occurred in East Japan on March 11 is presumed to be magnitude 8.8, maximum in the history of the observation in Japan.
Seven in the seismic intensity was observed in the Miyagi Prefecture northern part, and five in the seismic intensity was observed in a wide region in Tohoku and Kanto.
The aftershock of three or more in the seismic intensity continues intermittently.
The big tsunami warning that had been announced officially to Pacific coast in the Tohoku region due to this earthquake was switched to the tsunami warning at 8:20PM of the 12th.
However, the tsunami warning is still announced in the coast from Hokkaido to Kyushu now.
