The big tsunami warning was switched to the tsunami warning at 8:20PM of the 12th.

The earthquake that occurred in East Japan on March 11 is presumed to be magnitude 8.8, maximum in the history of the observation in Japan.

The big tsunami warning that had been announced officially to Pacific coast in the Tohoku region due to this earthquake was switched to the tsunami warning at 8:20PM of the 12th.

However, the tsunami warning is still announced in the coast from Hokkaido to Kyushu now.

Total number of the deceased person and the missing person due to the earthquake exceed 1500 people at 3:00AM of the 13th.
