Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry announced on the 17th that white smoke would have gone out of the hole that opened on the side of the reactor building of the second machine in Fukushima nuclear power plant.
It is thought that steam from the spent nuclear fuel pool leaked.
The temperature of the water in the pool seems to rise, too.
The safety agency assumes, "We will secure the external source, and want to do the cooling work on the 18th".
