The tsunami that overcame the Fukushima nuclear power plant is estimated to be 14m that greatly exceeds assumption in height.

Tokyo Electric Power Company clarified estimating on March 21 the height of the tsunami that overcame the 1st and 2nd nuclear power plant in Fukushima due to the East Japan great earthquake was at least 14 meters.

This is height that greatly exceeds prior assumption.

Tokyo Electric Power Company was assuming the height of the tsunami of the maximum scale to be 5.4-5・7 meter at the 1st, 5.1-5・2 meter at the 2nd nuclear power plant based on the indicator of the academic society of engineering works in around 2002.
